Windsor Maid Services FAQ

We accept the following Bank Cards and Credit Cards: VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. Your payment is due in full on the day of service.

Before we come to clean your home, it would be appreciated if items were picked up off the floor, dressers, and counters. This allows the cleaning professionals to clean more thoroughly. We also ask in the summer months that you set your air conditioner at an appropriate temperature to protect cleaners from overheating during their work. If for some reason you do not want a particular room cleaned, please leave a note or call the office at (214) 381-6243.

10. Can I hire one of your cleaning professionals directly?

No. A great deal of time and resources is put into hiring, training, and promoting our staff. Our service agreement states that you agree not to solicit or hire any past or present Windsor Maid Service employee, other than through our office, for a period of not less than two years from the date that employee last worked for Windsor Maid Services.

Yes, we do! They make wonderful gifts for birthdays, Mother's Day, Christmas, Valentine's Day, just to name a few.


Our gift certificates are available in any denomination with a one-hour minimum. We can send them by mail to you or to the recipient. 

Tips are neither expected nor required. If you feel you would like to leave a tip, feel free. What we need is a response to the quality email sent after each clean. The pay for the cleaners is based on the results of that quality email, so they really appreciate your response.

We ask for our safety and theirs that your pets be restrained for our cleaning.

6. What if something gets damaged during the cleaning?

In order to do a thorough job cleaning your home we touch virtually everything in it. We are incredibly careful and well trained, however accidents can still happen. If breakage occurs, we will leave you a note, the office will follow up with you. The worst breakage occurs with items that are irreplaceable either monetarily or sententimentally, so we ask that you store those away on your cleaning day or let us know not to touch those items. We are not responsible for damage due to improperly installed items.

5. Does someone need to be home during the cleaning?

This is your option, but most of our customers are not home when we arrive to clean. There are several ways we can gain access to your home. After your initial clean you may give us a key to be safely stored in your file in our office. Other options would be a garage code or hidden key. If you choose not to provide us with a key and we are unable to access your home for a scheduled cleaning, you will be assessed a lockout fee.

No. You will be asked to sign a Customer Service Agreement which simply states that you understand our agreed upon cleaning procedures and company policies. You may cancel your service at any time.

3. Do you provide the cleaning supplies or do I?

We use Deionized Water and a professional grade steam cleaner for our chemical free cleaning. The steam cleaner is recognized by the EPA as a disinfectant device. We utilize green cleaning products for our green cleaning services that are green seal approved. You can be confident that these products are responsibly packaged, have low VOC’s and human and environmental toxicity.

We provide the cleaning equipment and supplies. We’ve done extensive testing to find supplies that are as healthy for your family and pets as possible reducing toxic chemicals and improving indoor air quality in your home. Our staff is rigorously trained to use our supplies with full knowledge of dwell times (for optimum cleaning and sanitization), best practices, and application processes. We use extremely high quality CRI Gold rated vacuum cleaners that utilize HEPA filtration, efficiently filtering out microscopic particles including common dust, pet dander, and mold spores. Our vacuum provider is so committed to indoor air quality they are a health partner with the American Lung Association. We also utilize the Ladybug dry steam system for superior sanitization. Our steamers come with TANCS®, or Thermo Accelerated Nano Crystal Sanitation, allowing us to use a water treatment with nano crystals to destroy microorganisms, kill bacteria and disinfect almost any surface thousands of times better and quicker than most chemical disinfectants. Our steamers are so outstanding they qualify as a disinfection device with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

2. What do you mean by "green" and healthy?

We do understand that emergencies happen. If you have an emergency come up and you need after hours or Saturday cleanings, feel free to contact the office during regular office hours, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Emergency cleaning fee will apply.


We have two blocks of time we schedule our services, morning cleanings or afternoon cleanings. We are unable to give a specific time for your service because we clean homes to a quality standard and not just to a specific amount of time, some variations will occur due to home sizes, types of surfaces, and differences in cleanliness.

13. What types of payment do you accept?

With our guarantee, if for some reason a cleaning does not meet your approval, please inform our office within 24 hours, and we will make arrangements to have the problem(s) corrected at no additional charge.

13. What if I am not satisfied with the clean?

At Windsor Maid services quality is a top priority. Our team lead does a white glove quality review at the end of each cleaning. We will leave you a check-off sheet of what we did. We also do periodic quality review audits.
